Well, we think they are the most adorable couple in the area! Randy and Teri have been married for 42 years and are both are local to Westerville! Teri was born at St Ann’s hospital and spent her childhood growing up in Westerville. Both of her parents graduated from Hanby High School and her grandfather graduated from Vine Street (Emerson). Teri graduated from Westerville South when it was the original High School in 1972 and after high school, she attended Eastern Kentucky University. Randy was born in Linden and moved to Westerville when he was 4 years old. He has been a lifelong resident of Westerville. He graduated from Westerville High School in 1971. After high school, he attended Otterbein University and graduated from CIT with a degree in Law enforcement.
Randy was employed at United Parcel Service for 37 years and is enjoying retirement! He loves to tinker around and would like to get more into trains. Teri taught preschool in the Westerville Area and now is finding time to quilt in her wonderful sewing room in her new house!
The Shields have two adults daughters and five grandchildren! On November 27th they will be celebrating their 1st home anniversary in their beautiful new condo they share with their furbabies!
We decided that life was more than being tied to a larger home and all the work that came along with it. We want to be able to travel, spend more time with our grandchildren, and pursue our hobbies.
What we were looking for when we sold our home and moved was a real estate team that made our transition very smooth. I have known Angie and Jennifer for years and had a lot of confidence in both of them. They are beyond great! I am very proud to call them friends!
We were looking for a home with a first-floor master bedroom and a smaller amount of space to take care of. We love our porches! We have a large front porch and a wonderful screened-in back porch. We both feel like we live in Mayberry when we sit on the front porch and see our neighbors pass by?
We love this community! We have a clubhouse and pool which was wonderful to use this year. We have met a lot of new people and just feel much more relaxed in our new surroundings.
When you are downsizing, realize that will have to purge things. It was a wonderful feeling to get rid of stuff to make our lives simpler. It is funny that we don’t even miss the stuff we have gotten rid of. It was a very freeing feeling.
